Every year, I go through the same pattern against the spread. Early, I pick on pre-season hype, which is unpredictable. Then things settle in a bit, which is helpful.
Then some struggling teams grow up, and some fast-starting teams lose their way. Which is all very confusing. Which is the way we are now.
By November, things become more clear again.
