Week 4 from all sides and directions: Urban’s back but Alabama is still in front. The Pac 12 (South) and Big Ten (West) are sideways; take the OVER on Kansas at Baylor and the UNDER on Eastern Michigan at San Diego State; ESPN Gameday is going North by Northwest to Stanford at Oregon while Jimbo and Texas A&M are headed East to Tuscaloosa. Northern Illinois is booked South to Northwest Florida to put another scare (probably) into down-graded Florida State. But things are looking up for West Virginia but not for North (or South) Carolina. If anyone cares Western (Michigan) and Western (Kentucky) are contractually bound to Georgia State and Ball State. What happened to Northwestern, Southern California and Westwood? South Bend, traveling to Wake Forest, is 3-0 but hardly playing Northern Lights out. Some have described the Irish as Aurora BORE-alis.  And for some reason, way out west, somewhere over the rainbow, Duquesne is playing at Hawaii…

1: Alabama (2-0): Saban is 12-0 against former assistants, 15-0 against former dentists, 22-0 against former plumbers and 17-0 against former landscapers.  (2)

2: Oklahoma (3-0): Dual-threat (Baseball-Football) QB Kyler Murray loves salt but strictly adheres to all “No Pepper” postings. (3) The rest of this article is available to subscribers only – to become a subscriber click here.
